Accounting Volunteer

Are you an accounting student looking for hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact in your community? Our non-profit health clinic, Spectrum Health Care, is seeking motivated accounting students to join our team of volunteers. Help us manage our finances so we can continue providing affordable, inclusive healthcare to underserved and LGBTQ+ communities.

• As a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to apply your accounting knowledge in a real-world setting while supporting a clinic that makes a difference in people's lives. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to the financial sustainability of a crucial healthcare resource.

• Assist in managing clinic bookkeeping, including tracking income and expenses.
• Help prepare financial statements and reports for grants and funders.
• Support the budgeting process for clinic operations and specific programs.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of donations, grants, and other funding sources.
• Assist with payroll, invoicing, and maintaining financial documentation.

• Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, or similar) is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Passion for community service and a desire to contribute to a non-profit mission.
