Patient Service Coordinator
Tomiko “Miko” joined Spectrum Health Care as the newly-created Patient Service Coordinator position for our Clinic in 2021. Miko’s skill-set from a diverse work history including the medical field and front-office patient/client interaction makes her a perfect fit for the agency as we expand our client and patient services.
Miko is the first in her family to receive a college degree. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Science with a Minor in Early Childhood Education & Psychology from Touro College in New York City. She has continuously added certifications and other trainings to increase her knowledge, understanding, needed requirements in the medical field, and to better serve clients and patients. Some of these include: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Basic Life Support (BLS) & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and First Aid Certification.
Originally from Brooklyn, N.Y. born and raised, Miko moved to Columbia in 2013. Being from NYC, driving was not needed but upon moving to Columbia, she obtained her first driver’s license! In her spare time, she enjoys working on her “Eclectic Blacklight Abstract Art”, Spinning Poi, Dancing, Music, and spending time with friends and family.
Miko is a very upbeat, optimistic, and a positive thinker and believes: Things could always be worse!
